How to find us

All our offices have lifts and accessible toilets.  Our Headquarters has a limited number of disabled parking bays close to the building, a first come first served basis. All external meeting rooms are accessible for disabled people.  If you're coming to visit and have any accessibility requirements please do tell us; we'll do our best to accommodate them.

Public Transport

We try to encourage visitors to be green and where possible catch the bus from Newcastle City Centre rather than driving. The number 22 bus can be caught from Central Station every ten minutes, you can click to the right  for the bus timetable. The number 22 stops at both our HQ and our First Aid Training School

HQ By Car

From the North

• Follow the A1 from Morpeth until you reach the turnoff signposted City Centre A695, Blaydon, Newburn A6085. At the bottom of the hill turn right, following sign to Newburn, Newburn Riverside A6085'. B&Q is on your right. Newburn Riverside is a short distance ahead on your left (after passing under the A1 Bridge).

From the West

• Follow the A69 until you reach the A1 roundabout. Turn right following signposts to The South A1(M), Gateshead, City Centre (A695). Then follow instructions from the North.

From the South

• Follow the A1 past the Metrocentre on your right. When IKEA is on your right there are two junctions on your left in quick succession. Take the second (signposted Consett A694, Newcastle, Blaydon (A695). This road takes you under the A1. At the next roundabout bear left (signposted Newcastle, Blaydon (A695). At the next roundabout go straight on (signposted 'Blaydon, Newcastle). Keep in the left lane for the Scotswood Bridge, Newcastle A695). Go over the bridge and bear left sign posted Morpeth A1. At roundabout bear left signposted Newburn Riverside A6085). The road goes past B&Q on your right then under the A1. Newburn Riverside is on your left.

From the East

• Head for the A1 then follow instructions from the North or South. If driving from the City Centre follow Scotswood Road (A695). When it becomes a dual carriage way follow signs to 'Blaydon, Newburn A6085'' The road goes past B&Q on your right, go under the A1 and Newburn Riverside is on your left.
• From all directions Turn left into Newburn Riverside, cross the bridge, turn left at first roundabout and follow the road around, it is the third turning on your right.

From the North

• Travel down the A1, take the City Centre/Newburn slip road
• Go across 1^st roundabout and stay in left-hand lane
• At next roundabout go straight ahead along Scotswood Road (A695
• Go past Vickers (on the right) carry along Scotswood Road
• At the 2^nd roundabout turn right into Newcastle Business Park, take the 1^st turning on the left (Monarch Road)
• Take the 1^st turning on the right (Amethyst Road)
• Scotswood House is the first building on the right.

From the South

• Travel down the A1. Take the Newcastle/Gateshead slip road follow the sign posts for Newcastle (right)
• Go across the Redheugh Bridge. Just across the Bridge, take the slip road on the left (A695) Go straight ahead at the mini roundabout (Newcastle College is on your right) Take along Scotswood Road
• Just past the pertol garage turn left at the roundabout into Newcastle Business Park
• Take the 1^st turning on the left (Monarch Road)
• Take the 1^st turning on the right (Amethyst Road)
• Scotswood House is the first building on the right.

From the East

• Travel the A1058 (Coast Road) to Newcastle and go straight ahead at the Corner House Hotel and follow the road. At the traffic lights, bear right and along Jesmond Road
• At the roundabout go over and take the left slip road onto the Central Motorway (Sound bound)Take the 2^nd slip road marked A695
• Go around the roundabout and take the 3^rd turn off (Mosley Street Follow the road round to the traffic lights and bear right
• Go past the Central Railway Station (on your left) Go past the Centre for Life and left at the traffic lights Go straight ahead through a set of lights and right at the 2^nd sets of lights
• Follow the road round and up the bank onto Scotswood Road (Newcastle College is ahead) Turn left and take along Scotswood Road
• Just past the BP Garage turn left at the roundabout into Newcastle Business Park
• Take the 1^st turning on the left (Monarch Road)Take the 1^st turning on the right (Amethyst Road)
• Scotswood House is the first building on the right.

From the West

• Travel along the A69 towards Newcastle, Aat the large roundabout, turn right and join the A1 (South bound) Take the City Centre/Newburn slip road. Go across 1^st roundabout and stay in left-hand lane
• At next roundabout go straight ahead along Scotswood Road (A695)Go past Vickers (on the right) and carry along Scotswood Road
• At the 2^nd roundabout turn right into Newcastle Business Park
• Take the 1^st turning on the left (Monarch Road)
• Take the 1^st turning on the right (Amethyst Road)
• Scotswood House is the first building on the right.
