Equality Delivery System

What is the Equality Delivery System (EDS)?

The EDS is a framework to help NHS organisations review and assess their equality performance. This is to make sure there are better outcomes for patients, communities; better working environments for staff and legal compliance. The EDS is all about making positive differences to healthy living and working lives. At the heart of the EDS EDS is a set of 11 outcomes grouped into three domains, commissioned or provided services; workforce health and well-being; and Inclusive leadership

As part of our EDS requirements we undertook a review with staff, executives, unions and stakeholders in November 2022. They assessed our evidence and graded us for each of the 11 EDS objectives. We were assessed as overall ‘Achieving’ grade. You can read our grading results via the link below .
