Equality Delivery System

What is the Equality Delivery System (EDS)?

The EDS is a framework to help NHS organisations review and assess their equality performance. This is to make sure there are better outcomes for patients, communities; better working environments for staff and legal compliance. The EDS is all about making positive differences to healthy living and working lives. At the heart of the EDS is a set of 18 outcomes grouped into four goals, you can read here for more information.

As part of our EDS requirements we have a grading panel who meet and rate us on how we're doing on things like making sure our recruitment is fair, to ensuring our patients are treat with diginity. You can read our latest grading results below.
