NEAS covers one of the largest patches in the UK, from Berwick to Teesside. You can join our team of more than 2,000 staff, who respond to over 360,000 emergency and urgent incidents a year from 60 stations spread across 3,200 miles.
We are one of the best performing trusts in the country; currently undergoing a number of key transformational projects which, along with the appointment of a new Chief Executive and the introduction of a new Emergency Care leadership model, makes this is an exciting time to join us.
We are fully committed to the professional development of our workforce and support the post-registration education of paramedics in relevant areas, such as clinical decision making, minor injuries management, research/Advanced Paramedic roles and similar. With the introduction of new roles we are offering an exciting development structure to support your career aspirations whether this is clinically or management focused.
Everyone at NEAS plays an important role in making sure patients get the right treatment as quickly as possible. It's an exciting environment to work in, and the job satisfaction can be immense.
In addition we can offer some fantastic rewards including starting on 27 days annual leave, rising to 29 days after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years, a generous pension, childcare vouchers, salary sacrifice schemes for cars, phones, cycle to work, gym membership and computers.
Interested candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to demonstrate effective social skills gained from experience with dealing with the public. Blue light driver training is highly desirable.
