I was Hotel Service Manager for what is now Tees Esk & Wear Valley NHS Trust when I retired in April 2000 after 37 years. I decided to become self-employed providing Food Safety Training. I supplied most of this training to TEWV Trust which I am still doing.
I have always enjoyed being involved in the NHS which is why I decided to put myself up to be a Governor in Northumberland Health Care in 2006. I was elected and stayed in the role until 2011. I was elected again in 2012 until 2015. I am pleased to become a Governor with the Ambulance Service.
I live in Hexham with my wife. We have been married now for 46 years. My son also lives with us and he is also one of the reasons I put up to be a Governor in NEAS. In my spare time I do some cooking, gardening and most of all, cross stitch.
