British Heart Foundation HeartStart and Community Training

Community Training and Awareness Sessions

Do you know how to deliver basic life support (BLS)? Knowing when to call an ambulance and knowing how to give basic life support is the first chain in the chain of survival.

We can provide free of charge awareness sessions and demonstrations  in your community. Recently we have attended a country fair, Ladies WI Groups and a village parish council meeting. If you would like us to come along with some resuscitation manikins to your group then please contact us for more details.

The session will be designed based on your group's needs and requirements.

British Heart Foundation Heart Start Training

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) Heartstart scheme training is particularly of relevance to schools and colleges. School aged children onwards can easily learn the basics of CPR and everyone should be encouraged to "have a go" rather than be a bystander. Anyone from very young children can be taught the importance of phoning for an ambulance when certain symptoms are seen.

We work with the BHF to help set up and support groups. We provide the instructor training to affiliated groups or we can deliver a Heartstart to schools and community groups..
