Daniel Thompson - porter

Volunteer porter, Daniel Thompson, has volunteered with NEAS for seven years. As part of his role, Daniel helps our crews and hospital staff colleagues with day-to-day tasks, including greeting patients as they arrive at hospital.

Like his fellow porter colleagues, Daniel offers a familiar friendly face to patients and crews alike.

When we spoke to Daniel, he said his favourite part of his role was the ability to meet new patients. He also spoke about how he has had the chance to make lots of new friends whilst volunteering.

When we asked him about Volunteers Week and our upcoming Volunteers Awards, he said he looked forward to the opportunity to be recognised for his hard work, and we couldn’t agree more!
