Crown a great jubilee by staying safe

Don't flag - be prepared!

With Britain enjoying a week of celebration, it's important to remember that moderation is the key to having a memorable time.

NEAS is expecting a busy period with the extended Bank Holiday weekend, with parties taking place throughout the region.

Inevitably, the occasion will be marked by people raising a glass to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee.

A NEAS spokeswoman said: "It's hopefully going to be a wonderful few days off for everyone, but we would ask people not to drink to excess.

"Avoidable incidents connected to alcohol put a great strain on the ambulance service, abd by exercising moderation, people can make sure we have paramedics free to attend those who really need emergency attention."
