The NEAS apprentice - you're hired?

Opportunities with the North East Ambulance Service

NEAS chatted with people of all ages from across the region this week interested in about 20 apprenticeships, working alongside our customer service team.

The successful applicants will gain a qualification through Gateshead College, and be paid £100 per week.

The new Patient Transport Service (PTS) apprentices and PTS contact centre customer service apprentices will support the organisation to deliver health care services across the North East.

Joanne Dodson, from Gateshead College, said: "An apprenticeship is a fantastic way to build a career by gaining skills and training while receiving a regular wage. The opportunity to join NEAS is fantastic news for anyone looking for a public-facing role which provides new challenges every day."

Susan Richardson, Head of Workforce Development at NEAS, said: "We're looking for enthusiastic and focused individuals to join us and help the organisation continue to deliver the right care, in the right place at the right time across the whole of the North East.

"We're investing in people from the local community and equipping them with the skills to be able to complete vital roles within the organisation. We feel apprenticeships are a fantastic way to recruit loyal and long-serving employees who will be able to deliver a consistently high service to our customers and patients."
