200 employees attend big night out
NEAS showed off its finest at this years' long service and
Over 200 guests attended the
event at the Marriott Hotel in Sunderland where 40 staff received a
long service medal, award or certificate which added up to 850
NEAS Chief Executive, Simon
Featherstone said, "I am incredibly proud to be at an event like
this. We lead complicated lives, dealing with increasing demand and
decreasing finances. But everyone here tonight should be intensely
proud of what has been achieved.
"Because of everyone here, NEAS
is generally regarded as the most innovative and high performing
ambulance trust in England. I am confident that this is well
founded and shows in the length of service and breadth of awards we
have seen tonight.
"I would like to give a special
mention to the families, partners and children of NEAS staff for
the commitment they show. We are not there at the weekends and
overnight and our families adapt to that. Without them, we could
not do our jobs and they deserve our applause."
