Ring of confidence! NEAS duo connect with judges at contact centre awards

Amy and Neil do the double

The great and glamorous from Britain's contact centre world gathered in Londonfor the equivalent of the industry's Oscar's ceremony - with NEAS collecting two honours!

Proud award

Amy Proud took the bronze award in the Team Manager section, with NEAS Recruitment Manager Neil Gatenby picking up the bronze in the Recruitment Champion category.

Nominations came from a wide range of organisations across the UK, including the likes of British Gas, the DVLA and Tesco, and followed months of on-site visits from the judges.

Amy and Neil were presented with their honours in front of an audience of 550 professionals at the 5 Star Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in London on the 15th May 2014.

The UK National Contact Centre awards are now in their 19th year and recognise those individuals who are role models, working to make their call centres professional and industry leading.

Gerardine Hope said: "I am delighted that Amy is one of my team as her enthusiasm for her role, her team and the organisation is outstanding and her commitment to our vision of right care, right place, right time is second to none.

"And without Neil, Amy wouldn't have a team to inspire! Neil has helped the management team to transform the contact centre over the last couple of years and has done all this with a small team, an even smaller budget but a big sense of humour and commitment. I really don't know how he does it all - but I am just so pleased that he does!"

Neil said: "It was a great honour to be nominated and win the bronze award, as we were up against some very big players. It is great to see the NHS, and NEAS in particular, getting recognised for our commitment to recruiting the best possible employees for our patients.

"I am very fortunate to have a great team without whom this achievement would not have been possible. It is also a great endorsement of the relationship we have with the contact centre team who are always happy to support, feedback and try new approaches."

Amy said: "I was overwhelmed to be nominated for the Team Manager of the Year and over the moon to win the bronze award! I would like to thank my section manager for all her support and my fabulous team for their hard work and commitment to providing an excellent service to our patients."
