International Women's Day

Celebrating some of the inspirational females at NEAS

To mark International Women's Day, we are celebrating the achivements of some of our female members of staff.
We asked all staff to share stories of their colleagues who they found inspiring.
Here are some of the staff who were nominated and how they feel about being recognised by their peers.

Wow! This nomination has come as a huge surprise… to say I am honoured and overwhelmed would be a vast understatement.

I do what I do because I love my job and I am often shocked and saddened by some of the issues my operational colleagues face. It is important for me to know that my colleagues know that I am here to give advice. I am very humbled to have been recognised for doing what I absolutely love within NEAS.

When I read this I was genuinely overcome – I am absolutely delighted and very humbled by the comments and they have made my year! I work with fantastic, inspirational people and the fact that someone has taken the time to recognise what I try to do (although I am far from perfect) is awesome.

As part-time workers who beaver away in the background we are gobsmacked at being nominated. We don’t get to see each other very often but always enjoy a good catch-up when we do manage to meet up.

It is really nice to have been nominated. I am one of a few senior leaders in HART and have worked in every role in the team to get here. I have been able to speak to student paramedics to inspire them, which is particularly good for young females coming through the trust.
