Student of the Year highly commended 2016 - Jessica Hepworth

Business Admin Apprentice Jess Hepworth started work with NEAS last September within the Clinical Care and Patient Safety department. 

Quick to learn and extremely helpful, in the last year Jess’s confidence and skills have improved tremendously and she has worked closely with other teams.  

She’s been heavily involved in supporting the launch of a Sign up to Safety campaign - a national campaign to strengthen patient safety in the NHS. 

She also supported the infection prevention and control team with the swabbing of ambulances as part of an infection prevention and control audit, which monitored the cleanliness of ambulances, having a direct and positive outcome, helping us to provide safer care to patients.  

Jess has now also now secured a permanent position at the Trust.
