Chairman’s award
Nominations are not required for this category; it will be awarded at the discretion of the judging panel and the Chair of the Board of Directors for nominations which have been received in other categories.
This team or individual will have displayed a selfless way of working, putting the needs of others before their own, and will have shown compassion in everything they do. They may have shown good leadership and/or, be an educator or mentor to others. They will have high professional standards so will be a great ambassador for the trust and they may have contributed to the development of the profession.
Outstanding Emergency Care
Recognising individuals or teams who have demonstrated a clear commitment to delivering outstanding emergency care to patients and their families.
Outstanding Scheduled Patient Transport
Recognising individuals who have demonstrated a clear commitment to delivering outstanding care to patients and their families.
Outstanding Call Taking
Recognising individuals who have demonstrated a clear commitment to delivering outstanding care to patients and their families. Nominations welcome for all employees in the call taking team, from call handlers to clinicians.
Outstanding Dispatch .
Recognising Individuals who have demonstrated a clear commitment to delivering outstanding care to patients , their families and their colleagues in unscheduled and scheduled care dispatch.
Outstanding Support Services
Recognising individuals who demonstrate an excellent level of support for internal and external customers.
Innovation and Change
Recognising individuals or teams who have used creative and original thinking to develop a new way to deliver better patient care or service provision.
Team of the year
Recognising the work of an outstanding team within the Trust who have worked together effectively to deliver excellent service.
Patients’ choice
This award recognises employees nominated by patients or relatives for making a difference to them. This individual or team will have a passion for putting patients at the heart of everything they do.
Leading by example
Recognising the vital role that effective managers and leaders have within the Trust. This individual will inspire others to work within the Vision and Values of the organisation. They will have a genuine concern for those within their team, and support an open, honest and learning culture.
Compassion, respect and inclusion
Recognising individuals or teams who demonstrate a positive and inclusive attitude towards others, perhaps to maximise their potential. This person will be someone who has displayed and positively promotes the trust values and the ethos of equality and diversity. Someone who has acted as a role model by treating patients and service users, as well as colleagues, with respect and dignity
Excellent patient care
Nominations are not required for this category; it will be judged based on a number of criteria based on individual performance.
An individual dedicated to improving the safety and quality of care within their own area of work, their team or the wider trust. Evidence will include examples of continuous quality improvement and the delivery of safer care.
Unsung Hero
Recognising individuals who will have displayed a selfless way of working, putting the needs of others before their own, and will have shown compassion in everything they do.
