Veterans

The North East Ambulance Service has a long history of supporting Armed Forces Veterans, and many of our colleagues are veterans themselves. We are committed to supporting our veterans, and value the unique perspective and experiences they bring to the Ambulance Service.

Considering your next step after a career in the Armed Forces? We have a range of roles that are ideally suited for veterans. We are proud to support our veteran colleagues in making the transition in their career, providing support and mentorship to help you become part of the North East Ambulance Service community.

Armed Forces Covenant

gold_covenant_logo_200x364.jpgWe at North East Ambulance Service have pledged to support those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, along with their families. To reflect this, we are proud to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant.

The Covenant focuses on supporting Armed Forces veterans, treating them with fairness and respect and ensures that they have the same access to government and commercial services and products as any other citizen. This includes starting a new career.

As an employer, the North East Ambulance Service has been granted gold award which means that we are open to employing reservists, Armed Forces veterans (including the wounded, injured and sick), cadet instructors and military spouses and partners.
