Community ambassadors

What is a community ambassador?

An ambassador's role is to help us, the ambulance service, spread messages and information about how and when to access 999, 111 and Patient Transport Services, and be our eyes and ears in local communities.

To help us to:

  • Reach out to people and communities
  • Educate people about our services and how to access them
  • Share key information about health care
  • Attract people to come to work and volunteer with us
  • Direct people to the right health services

As a community ambassador you will:

  • Learn new skills and enhance your CV
  • Receive a one day induction and training
  • Get a uniform and ID badge so you are easily identified
  • Make a difference in the community- be the voice for your community
  • Gain an understanding of our organisation and services
