Where and when did your career in the Trust start?
I started my career with NEAS in 2013 with the IT Service Desk.
What apprenticeship did you complete?
I completed the advanced apprenticeship for IT professionals.
What are you doing now?
I am now the digital education lead in the education department here at NEAS and I deliver many aspects including digital skills training and eLearning development.
I also work with colleagues regionally and nationally to share resources to provide efficiencies across the whole NHS system, in relation to digital education.
How has the apprenticeship programme you completed helped you on your journey?
The apprenticeship programme I completed at NEAS gave me the skills, knowledge, experience and confidence to apply in a permanent role. I have since progressed my career with the North East Ambulance Service over the last seven years through several roles.
I have been involved in many effective and innovative projects within NEAS and the wider NHS and I believe the apprenticeship I completed gave me a great start to my career with the NHS, I would highly recommend an NHS apprenticeship.
