Jojo is currently studying for an information communications technician apprenticeship while continuing with is existing role helping colleagues across the Trust with IT issues.
He would recommend doing an apprenticeship as it helps to update your skills. For Jojo, this course also means he is able to improve his skills and this will make him more productive in the workplace.
Nichola Edmondson
Job title: Operations centre team leader - 111
Apprenticeship: Level 5 operations departmental manager apprenticeship.

Nichola has been a team leader for nine years. It hasn't been easy to study throughout the pandemic, but Nicola continuing her development in order to progress into other roles within NEAS.
She said: "You must be committed and ensure you understand the level of work involved as well as being able to undertake or have access to a project which is needed for a level 5 apprenticeship."
Melissa Farrell
Job title: Fleet administrator
Apprenticeship: Level 1 business administration
Melissa works for our subsidiary company NEASUS and is studying for an apprenticeship alongside her role as she felt an apprenticeship would suit her more as she is a hands-on learner.
She completed her qualification in July last year and due to the pandemic, face-to-face time was limited. However, she had a very supportive tutor who helped through phone calls and emails.
Completing the course has allowed Melissa to gain experience, skills and knowledge to do her job, alongside gaining a qualification.
She said: "Getting the hands on, personal experience is valuable and helps to get a clearer understanding of the theoretical work.
"Being able to work with others who are experienced in the role gives you other perspectives."
