21st April 2026

Staff awards banner.pngWe’re pleased to announce the finalists for the In the Spotlight Awards 2026, recognising the outstanding dedication, innovation and compassion shown by colleagues, teams and partners across the organisation.

This year’s awards celebrate individuals and teams who go above and beyond to deliver exceptional care, improve services and embody NEAS values every day.

The winners will be revealed at our awards ceremony taking place on Friday 19 June at Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield.

This year, we received 439 nominations from colleagues across the Trust, as well as from our patients and their families.

Chief executive Kev Scollay said: "Our awards are a chance to recognise and celebrate the incredible people who make NEAS what it is. The sheer number and quality of nominations we received this year is a powerful reminder of the dedication, compassion and professionalism shown by our colleagues and partners every day. I’m immensely proud of all our finalists – and of everyone who was nominated – for the difference they make to patients, families and communities across the region.”

The ceremony will also celebrate those who have achieved 20 years or more long service before 31 March 2026.

Congratulations to all of our finalists.
