Giving confidential advice and support to patients, their families and carers

If you need to talk to someone about a particular concern you have with the ambulance service, or you’re looking for confidential advice, our PALS team is here to help.

When you raise a concern with PALS, our advisors will give you immediate advice on the best way to resolve the situation. It’s an informal way of highlighting an issue, which will be taken seriously and investigated thoroughly.

How we work

When investigating a concern, we act independently to find a solution, liaising with staff, managers and other relevant organisations where appropriate. 

Our aim is always to find a quick resolution, but if this can’t be achieved, we can refer you to specific local and national-based support agencies.

We are available Monday to Friday, from 9am to 4.30pm. Outside of these hours you can leave a voice message and you will be contacted the next working day.
